Dr. Avery D. Goldberg was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Goldberg studied at the University of Central Florida prior to acceptance for early admission into the Indiana University School of Dentistry.
After receiving his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Indiana in 2006, he began his training at the University of Miami, School of Medicine in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed a surgical internship and his four years of residency training in 2011. While in Miami, he served as Chief Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 2010-2011 at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Goldberg received the prestigious Faculty Award for Outstanding Patient Care upon completion of his residency training. He has trained extensively in maxillofacial trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, advanced bone grafting-techniques, tumor and reconstructive surgery, and orthognathic surgery.
Dr. Goldberg is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is active in the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation. Dr. Goldberg and his lovely wife Kim have five young children. He enjoys baseball, fishing, basketball, and going to the beach with his kids.

My daughter is four days out from having her impacted wisdom teeth removed. As a mom, this is my 6th child to have their wisdom teeth removed. Dr Goldberg has been our surgeon for the last four. Dr Goldberg has always been phenomenal with my kids, but this experience has been next level. This time around he offered to use Exparel. He told me there would be an extra cost involved but that he had seen good results with this stopping most of the pain. My daughter is a type one diabetic and I was very concerned about the amount of pain she may feel affecting her blood sugar levels, which would then cause slower healing. I wasn’t looking forward to this at all. So we decided to give it a try. This was the best use of money ever. My daughter has had ZERO pain. Her cheeks swelled and she said they were sore, but at the actual incision sites, nothing. Today she asked me if I was SURE he actually removed them. I know everyone has different experiences, and I’ve seen vastly different levels of pain with the previous 5 removals, but this has been unbelievable. I 100% recommend not only Dr Goldberg, but the use of Exparel, you will not regret it, it is worth every penny!

My son had his wisdom teeth taken out and I was very nervous because I had a terrible time when I got mine out. Dr Goldberg and his staff were AMAZING. So patient and were very knowledgeable. We opted for the time release pain medication Exparel so that he didn’t have to take narcotics post surgery for pain. This was a game changer. He was only taking ibuprofen for pain and by day 3 he was only taking it at night. A great experience and I will definitely come back if any of my other children need wisdom tooth extraction!
