Dr. Pablo Martinez was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He received his doctorate in Dentistry from the Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala City in 2001. Following his graduation, he worked with his father, Dr. Jorge Martinez, practicing general dentistry.
In 2003, Dr. Martinez was offered a one year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. Dr. Martinez accepted this position and relocated to the United States to begin his surgical training. Because of his excellent performance as an intern, he was then offered a four year residency training program at the same institution. Dr. Martinez served as a chief resident in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2007 – 2008 and completed his residency on June 30, 2008.
At the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Martinez received extensive training in dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery, anesthesia, repair of facial clefts, and trauma surgery.
Dr. Martinez holds a Florida dental license and is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando.
Dr. Martinez met his wife Maria Covey while in Oklahoma City. They have recently moved to Orlando. Dr. Martinez enjoys soccer, sporting clay shooting, hunting, fishing, and has a great interest in music.
